Well I timed THIS morning exactly right............

The little Farmall 100 (same as a Super A) has been giving me some starter problems. This has a manual switch, and the drive spins in "old fashioned Bendix" style. Sometimes it gets hung in the flywheel. Took the starter off, apart, cleaned it out, greased bearings, and found that there are a total of 4 thrust washers, 3 on the drive end and 1 on the commutator end. .............So I removed 2 from the drive, and put them on the rear, moving the armature and drive ahead a bit. Works perfect

Then I decide to pig out, run down to zips and get a fishwich and fries. When I went out the door IT WAS RAINING LOL

Some years back, but WHY I want it to kinda be running later on...........
