I'd question that, it is those kind of comments that keep the myths alive. My CHP 69 Polara had the standard HP440 with the standard cam, intake and carb as any HP440 would in 1969 yet you hear all the time about the "special" CHP engines, cam etc. The only thing in the 69 spec for the 69 CHP was a HD lower radiator hose and screw down hose clamps. I have yet to see any documentation to support any of the "special" engine features for CHP
