I blasted and primered it years ago. No clue where it goes on the car

Is it aluminum? maybe the extension of the sill plate on a two door? It goes up the side under the rear seat? just a guess...

nope, it’s steel with primer on it.
 
Sure looks like a seat track part to me . What year and model ? Bench or buckets ?

That's a hood lock support for a modern car. Probably Japanese.
 
It sure looks like a seat track slider. Seems that is the handle return spring tab on the back side. A picture of the side would tell the tale I think.

We dont own any Japanese cars, so that would be one hell of a retrofit

Ill toss it aside and wait until something doesnt quite install correctly. It's been primered beautifully though!
 
Wouldn't be a grille support off of something would it?
Mounts to core support, and just has a little tab to keep a grille from vibrating?

Edit...I was thinking this, but looking at various A Bodies I'm incorrect.
