I am stumped & trying to find out if this shifter is a V-Gate or a Ram Rod. Thanks!

There are 3 spacers, 3/8 long that go between the shifter and the mounting plate. Plate to trans extension housing, 3 spacers on the other set of bolt holes and then the shifter lines up with the shift levers on the side cover.

Does anything need to be cut out anywhere in the tunnel area for this to be used on an A body?

You may have to cut the lever stops off to get it in the hole. I always take them off. If you have a ball and detent cover, or even the interlocking side cover, there is a stop in them. Unless you lay on the shifter or something you don’t need them and they are in the way. Other than that it should fit in the hole.
