Yeah, the ad is somewhat misleading- it can control a CD changer, but has no built in CD player.
I know it's not much help, but I've just been picking up old Pioneers and Alpines at the swap meets. I saw some at Wallyworld not too long ago, but didn't recognize the brand and can't vouch for the quality...
