Generally, start with basics. Is it 904 or 727 based? Google photos. Is it RH (hydraulic) or electronic (RE) Look for a multipin connector facing vertically up, behind the shifter lever. "About 8?" pins is electronic, 3 hydraulic. There should be numbers stamped on the pan rail, you should be able to search those

904 based, 3 pin, the pan rail numbers are in post #1 - that is what I can't find a place to search. I know they would tell me the original application, but can't find a site that would tell me how to decode them. (I know it isn't a Jeep trans as it came from behind the 360 in another members Dart!)
