I have a '72 Duster that has a Valiant grille. The prior owner liked it better than the stock grille. I plan to put a stock grille back in the car to make it easier to sell.
I recall a few years back that these were around $200-$300 for a decent quality grille and headlight bezels. Is that still a fair price or did these go up in value like all the other stuff?

Earlier this year I bought a nice grille center for ~150$ shipped. Then I bought the repop argent headlight buckets for even more. It looks great IMO.

Your price will depend on how they installed it in your Duster. You can hack it in, or you can replace the hood latch tray with an early model and install it like the factory did. A proper installation will leave it unmodified and worth more.

I installed it was back, maybe 10 years ago. Nothing was cut. It isn’t perfect but still nice. I like the look but I think the car will be worth more with a stock grille.
I’d be happy to trade it for a decent 70-72 grille.

Start a sale/trade thread.

Not sure what a decent , respectable, one go's for today.
That being said I sold an indecent one at Carlisle two years ago for $175.00

Pictures would go a long way here, KD.
It seems that the marker lights are worth a lot if they are good from what I'm told.
They are the same ones used on the '69 Daytona Charger.
That being said, I have 4 decent ones (2 in '69 Valiants I plan to keep and 2 extras) that are in decent to good shape and complete.
And no, they are not for sale.....

I'd say $250-$350 is about what they're worth when decent ones pop up, as mentioned most are bought up by B body guys for the turn signals.

The headlight buckets can stay, they swap over between the valiant and the duster grille

the real money is in the parking lights
they are a one year deal, but during that one year they were installed in two models...the 69 valiant and the 69 daytona
i dont need to tell you what being OEM parts on a wing car does for the price

Yea, but you make it sound like guys are in line in droves looking for those turn signals because they are restoring Daytonas. Odds are the very few people who own a Daytona already have a few extras they bought decades ago and are not worried about it. Valiants probably outnumbered daytonas 25 to 1 and probably still do.

106,000 1969 Valiants built, 503 Daytonas built.
More like 201 to one, give or take!

I still plan to sell this grille. I did find the parking light/turn signal lenses and they are in nice condition. Not show quality but not hazed or cracked either. I may wait until car show/swap meet season. Shipping and potential damage would really be a pisser.
