Is Chrysler/Fiat/Stellantis still selling reproductions or our build sheets. The one for my car (1967 Dart) only had little pieces left and had mostly disintegrated. I'd love to have a copy. Is there a historical archive where they are kept now?

Thanks,

Doug

Don't think Chrysler/Fiat/Stellantis is doing any historical services. I number of months ago I requested info from Chrysler historical have not heard a peep.

There are services out there that can create many duplicat documents but they typically need an original doc or other proof that the duplicate will be correct.

Realistically without a build sheet it is only a guess as to what your car has.

Even the fender tag does not have all the info on it.

If you are sure your car is origional and compete you could reasearch all the codes that would be needed on a build sheet.

Good luck

I can't believe that there aren't templates on the internet so that you can print your own??????????????????????????

I'm sure one could get a good scan of a clean sheet and photo shop away

It's not quite that simple. If you try to set up a template as a vector file, you need to have a complete intact sheet as a reference for dimensions, and you somehow have to match all those fonts — which back in the day were not digital, and have probably never been digitized. Both the printed fonts on the form, and the weird impact printer font used for the data. I know someone on the forum who has done it — it's a very nice job but it is a reference sheet — it is not going to fool anyone that it is original.

Working in Photoshop would be hellishly clumsy and leave you with smudgy artifacts everywhere. You will find that your scan is not orthogonally true and that the background color shifts from top to bottom and edge to edge, among other things.

Even you have a template, you need to know the proper codes for each item original to your car, which you can probably look up.
