Piston ring groove cleaner and axle flange puller.

Those old axle / hub pullers (used to be) are VERY expensive. They are useful for early Fords, Studes, older Chrysler products, IHC light trucks and Scouts and Jeep and AMC cars for many years. I have no idea, offhand what other brands of cars. I don't think GM was "big" on tapered axles

You put it on the wheel studs/ bolts, tighten in up, beat on the "wrench" and if needed remove the wrench and with a good large hammer, "whang" on the puller screw end. "Hopefully" this will shock the hub loose. "Sometimes heat"...............................

As above, the other is ring grove cleaner. You can select different groove sizes with the rotary part of the tool.

EDIT I forgot VEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee DDDDDUUUUUUBBBBBbbbsssssssss

AND NOW YET another annoying story from the old days. In the mid 70's after getting out of the Navy, I worked at my Father's auto parts store. Amoungst other duties, I turned brake drums and rotors. A tire store next door used to bring them over. One day they brought over a pair of an AMC car. I put one on the lathe, and it wobbled so bad it was unbelieveable. I called them and said "which one of you needs to learn to pull AMC hubs properly?"

"Well a customer brought those in."

"Well," I says, "SOMEBODY needs to teach him how to pull hubs. They are both ruined

So just before quitting time this guy comes in ---side note--turns out he was a math teacher--and I'm up front, and I asked him if we could help him

"Who is it here is going to teach me how to do a brake job?"
"Well that was ME and you are in SORE NEED of a teacher. You RUINED both those hubs."

OMFG he was PISSED!!! Took his hubs/ drums, flipped me off, walked over, opened the door, turned around and flipped me off again!!! as he was wrestling the drums out the door!!!

That is a great story.

I need one of those pullers, but shipping would probably be expensive because they are heavy.

That dog bone sure had a lot of use. Looks like the sledgehammer was needed.

Thanks fellas. A friend of mine bought a house and let me pillage the garage. Found a couple 57-60 gm ujoints, a good amount of different pullers, some old body work stuff, electrical connectors, an old two part chrome plate kit I have to look into. Liquid and powder. I would love if that would work on a rally dash. I assume the puller is what you need for early 741 axles? Also an extra large soldering iron. Perhaps for body work?

The extra large soldering iron could be for doing leaded glass windows...

I've done a few leaded glass windows on my old house and used a 120 watt soldering iron...
