Also, try and find some 920 casting heads. Best flowing head for the 273. They came on late 65 through 67 273. Next option would be the 302 casting swirlport head.

I have several sets.
we usually run stainless valves with some cleanup around the valve guide. We take a 1.88 and cut it down to 1.82. This avoids valve shrouding. It would be nice to find the 3.625 bore sized head gaskets, 3.635 @.040 over. Using the standard Felpro gaskets creates a small area in circumfrance around the bore. Possibly creating a hot spot.
Port velocity is not bad, actually just right for a small motor
