I need help ! I am looking for pictures of the Factory undercoat application on my car .I live in MI and if anyone who lives in snowy states have heard of Zebart company Mt car was Zebarted so unable to tell where the factory under coat is

Zebart doesn't remove factory or dealer applied undercoating.

I undercoated dozens of brand new 73/74 Dusters when working at a Chrysler dealer up north. Messy job !

If I remember correctly the factory only put some in the wheelwells. As much for road/tire noise as well as road salt.

Zebart was a waxy yellowish stuff that they sprayed mostly from above and inside panels.
Drilled holes and sprayed inside panels with a long wand then a snap in plastic plug covered the holes.
Worked really good in salt country.

I don't remember if they offered true 'undercoating'
if black undercoating covers the floor and overspray on the sides of the fuel tank, exhaust hangers, etc ... it's probably dealer installed or some other aftermarket deal like Rayco.

I can get pics of my dart sport but it probably wouldnt be until the weekend. They usually did the wheel wells heavily and most of the floor pans. There is almost always areas that they missed and the metal will be rusty there. It really depends on the guy spraying it. My 73 swinger was fully coated and did an awesome job of protecting it. I only had to do front pans and that was because water got in and it rusted from the inside out.
I will check, may have some pics of the swinger.

Zebart did do undercoating in black. It's been on my car since 1987 and still tacky

My 76 Ventura has a half inch thick coat of Ziebart undercoating that the original owner had applied. My 70 Dart had a good thick coat of it as well.

Here is a pic of the bottom of my 73 swinger. I was in the process of stripping the undercoating when this pic was taken. Basically they sprayed everywhere from the lip of the rockers in. The gas tank was installed so it would have undercoat on the bottom and straps. The only place it will be thin or not there is in the shadows of things that stick out like the frame rails, etc. It really varies from car to car. I have seen some with large areas that were missed.
