Solid lifters in a 72 dated 318.....In all my years, I didn't know they made some like this in 72

How this engine sits in a duster in a junk yard with no hood or air cleaner for longer than I have been on earth, yet it's still a good core is beyond me. The bottom end turns, the cam rusted froze, so once I disconnected the timing chain, the crank turns.

Definitely not original- a '72 block, a '69 and earlier iron water pump, and '67 and earlier 273 valve gear... You're not the first one inside that motor!
