Hey guys I am very frustrated with this issue and it's the only thing left to do in order for me to assemble my 318. I went to Hughes for a suggested cam and they did just that, suggested. It was late September and I ordered one from Hughes. Didn't hear from them and after 3 weeks I reached out to them. They received my order but stated that it was back ordered and had no idea when one would be available. I stuck with them up until this week and finally canceled my order. Now I am trying to find another mildly upgraded street cam but am totally confused. As stated before it is a 1989 318 with with 302 heads. It has roller lifters and has a long snout. I am not going with the electronic ignition, carbureted. I will also run with an electric fuel pump. I don't want to change valve springs or push rods. I see some available at Summit and Speedway but very confusing as to whether or not they require valve springs, rods or whether they have a long or short snout. I would really appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thank you!

What gears and transmission do you have?

In stock.
That's the biggest problem.....no cores.

CE6P 220/225 DUR@.050, 485/500, 112LC, 1000-6000 33851

If you call...itll go straight to Reuben, Ruebens cams

As a core, would it help to have a cam from an ‘89 360 roller motor? I have one I’m not using, but do cam grinders want these?

I just had a 88 long snout roller reground by oregon cams , took 2 weeks and cost $159

Called them, they couldn't help me. My existing cam is too pitted and they didn't have anything else available. Thank you for your reply!
You could start a wanted thread. There's a chance someone here has a stock cam (core) or a mild performance cam they would sell.
