Lost my pops today

So very sorry for your loss. Always toughest near the holidays but thankfully you have a wonderful memory of the talk and laughs which is so special.

Sorry for your loss.
My Dad died a few years ago. I still catch myself wanting to call and talk to him.

My prayers and condolences to you, your family, and friends. Rest in peace Pops.

Lost my dad today. He was 85. I don't even know what to say. His health was slowly failing, but the ole man was mentally sharp as a tack to the end. I talked w him a few days ago. We talked model A Fords and MoPars. Had a great phone visit. I would talk to him on my way to work while he ate breakfast most mornings. Mom said they watched National Lampoon's Christmas vacation last night and had a good laugh. He loved that movie. Mom asked me to write a eulogy. I leave for N.J. on a flight out on monday.

Anybody reading this, give your loved ones a hug. Tell em you love them. Slow down, enjoy life a bit more. Maybe call an old friend or a family member that's far away and talk with them. Time is always limited in regards to these things.

Matt
Sorry for your loss. No matter the age, the loss is still very significant. Prayers

My sincerest condolences... I've had both of my folks pass... not easy at all.

My brother's and I do enjoy reminiscing and raising a glass together in his memory. As others have stated... keep the memories alive and remember the good things...

My condolences, lost my dad about 7 years ago to a brain tumor from cancer. Every once in a while, usually when I do or complete something cool, I really miss having someone to share it with.

85 is a good run Matt! Although it may not feel like it right now, as(for me anyway) we kinda assume they will always be here for us.
I can tell reading thru your threads he was a good family man and raised you right.
Our condolences from up here. Sending positive strength and thoughts for your family.

Matt, I sure am sorry. I lost Daddy in December of 98. He really wanted to see the turn of the century. He wasn't a car guy but he enjoyed seeing what I did next. lol I still hear his voice telling me when I'm fixin to do something stupid......so that means we still talk a lot.

My condolences Matt. He raised one of the good ones. I wish you guys all the best.

Sorry to hear Matt. I lost both of mine within 3 months of each other in '17. I celebrate their life everyday. Be good to yourself and your Mom.

So sorry for you loss. Thoughts and prayers for the family. Life can be so good, and so bad at times. My father died with Alzheimer’s. I would take the guy that taught me how to fish fishing at a local lake. I would bait his hook like he baited mine many years before. Alzheimer’s patients usually walk with there head at a 45 degree angle pointing towards the ground. I would take his face in both hands and raise it up to kiss him. That would get a small grin and although he knew how much I loved him I tried to not let him forget.

I'm sorry, Matt. I miss my Dad, too.
I'm happy you were as close as you were right to the end.

Prayers sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in 2006 and mom in 2019. Dad was 69 when he passed. They divorced when I was 10 and my dad wasn't around a lot after but, I still miss him and his sense of humor. We are all St. Louis Cardinals fans and he passed the second Adam Wainwright struck out Carlos Beltran to send the Cards to the World Series. I mean the exact second the umpire throws his hand up to ring up Beltran he passed. The game was on in his ICU room...I always say he was just hanging around to make sure they won that game...lol

Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes guys. It really means a lot to me. I have a lot of memories. I hope I am making good ones w my kids so they remember me too.

Sorry for your loss Matt. My dad passed away on December 10th. Its 50 years ago tomorrow. It’s still a very hard day for me. Kim
