I installed a Quicksilver shifter into my 70 Duster after replacing the carpet. I was using the OE bench seat so had the shifter set for proper reach. About 6 months later I removed the bench seat and installed aftermarket bucket seats. The shifter is now way too far forward so I would have to bring it back about 9-12" to make it comfortable to use. Obviously moving the shifter would expose the hole in the carpet where it was. Any tricks to cover that up without replacing the carpet?

If you used the shifter mount required there should only be a little hole for the pipe There is a different new style that takes 4 bolts right over the carpet if desired

Yes I did, all hand made out of wood and used an after market 69 Camaro 4 gauge pod.

That's a SWEET console, Dragonsteel. Quite possibly the nicest homemade console I've seen.
I really like the way you kept the OEM design shape at the front and how the wood finish on both the console and steering wheel complement each other.
Great job!
Did you keep the pattern?

Thanks for the compliment ocdart. I have the patterns for the cross sections, everything thing else I designed "on the fly" off of the cross sections.
