My buddy's place near Ft Campbell Ky. is gone. He just bought it in preparation for his upcoming retirement. He just moved a bunch of his family heirlooms there this past summer. :(

Ugh that really makes it worse

His son the Chinnook crew chief from Ft Campbell is on "salvage detail" at the place right now.
It’s possible but will be a challenge. Reading reports that radar was picking up large debris at 39,000 feet AGL. For those that don’t know, most civilian airliners cruise between 30,000 and 40,000 ft AGL

Oh yeah. Could be miles from the ranch.
Here’s something to chew on. This is the tri state tornados path of 1925.

Just got some details from the home boy. Some of the main house survived, his barn, not so much. The boy got called to work at the base to upright Chinooks that were toppled over in the winds. Kid said with all the debris in the roads he had a helluva time gettin' to the ranch. The homie's neighbor called early this AM PST to give him some of the info, the neighbor's place was completely destroyed. :(

So sad. A bit surprised the Sh*thooks were even in the path. Or outside. Normally they move those around or inside.

Thoughts and prayers to the folks in the affected areas!
Hope member in those areas are safe and will let us all know they're safe when they are able.

Glad to see you're OK memike!

This one really saddens me, it was Prices Grocery in Saloma Kentucky, I ate a many good old bologna sandwiches there at lunchtime when stripping tobacco, used to deliver milk and dairy there when I was a boy. They still had a old visible gas pump there up until a few years ago, it was just one of those good old country stores and part of my life, I drove a many mopars there through the years.

It might be @kyle's 340 you're thinking of? I've bought parts from him before...hope he and his family are ok.
Thanks guys, yeah it was 35-45 miles from my yard, everything is good from what my mom who lives close by told me. I live about 75 miles north of there, we didn't have any damage, thankfully.

So I just got back from Madison, Indiana. Which is north of the Ohio River and north east of Louisville Kentucky.
They’re finding debris all across the area from New Albany, Indiana, to Madison and surrounding areas, all from Dawson Kentucky and surrounding areas that got hit Friday night/Saturday morning. Pictures, documents, mail, even chucks of steel that are believed to be from that tornadoes path. One even found a mail box on their roof.

just goes to show that when stuff gets that high up and into the jet stream, it can travel for countless MILES! For perspective, that area is approximately 150-180 miles from where the mail box came from.

@Unconventional just thought you’d like to know

We dodged a bullet here this time but it went right over the house. The church, about half a block away, had its 40-foot steeple relocated to its front yard. These were taken just now out my living room window:

Sixteen miles away in Dresden, a good bit of downtown was heavily damaged and crews are still looking for victims.

A month ago today I went to Vaughn Brothers Hardware for some stuff to install a gas fireplace.

Here is that same store today.

Prayers and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery go out to everyone affected by this. Love your people and your pets, and never take anything for granted!
Northwest Tennessee communities begin to rebuild after deadly storms

Edit: I just saw on FaceBook that Vaughn Brothers' sign was found in Murray, Kentucky.
