Putting an S&W 8 Point roll bar in the Dart with the straight rear bars and trying to determine where they land. I was hoping it would go through the package shelf, so I could keep the rear seats, but the bars are about two feet short.

From the looks of things it could either mount on the frame at the top of the rear axle arch with a little trimming or it might make it toward the rear slope just before the gas tank filler tube. Want to get a plan together before I take a grinder to the parcel shelf/rear seat support.

If anyone has pictures of their install I would love to see them.

I don't know if it will help but, I had an S&W 8-point roll bar for my 63 330 wagon, & the rear bars landed where the rear seat was. I would contact them & they will tell you exactly where they will sit. I was only an hour or so away from their shop, so I brought my car to them & had them make the rear bars go along the roof line & down the "C" pillars, so you had a hard time seeing the roll bar at all. I had them install it while it was there too. Money well spent & they did a fantastic job. I know you're across the country from them but, they could make up the bars you want & ship them to you. Maybe just send them some measurements of what you need.

I put mine through the top and bottom of the seat, where the seatbelts go through. my front shoulder harness has a separate seat belt that reaches them through the same area.

Yep, I’ll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

With a hardtop I would be in the same boat as there would be no way to get the seat back in. I’ll see what they say tomorrow, might need to start search rear seat delete idea’s :p

S&W has an option for the rear bars to go through the rear package tray, for every kit
That is what i did, to me i wouldnt do it any other way

You just cut the rear seat frame in the middle. That allows it to bend the seat back like a "V" to clear the bars. Bolt a small plate on the back side and install it. It will be hidden from view once installed and undetectable.

I had to modify my lower seat frame to make a bit more room. Upholstery shops do it all the time.

Talked to them this morning, said to have the bars land above the shock mounts/rear axle. Looks like I don’t have to cut the parcel shelf up, but no seat back. Might use the bottom of the seat frame to make a carpeted place to set things.
