Hello y'all.
I need a bit of help with finding a certain brake line. I have a 74 Scamp with 10' front drums. I need the brake line that connects to the short rubber line on one end (at the frame) and runs under the chassis to (what I believe is the proportioning valve). The line is approximately 14 inches long.
Sorry for the sketchy details, I'm not to familiar with the proper names for each piece.
Also, I really don't want to spend $200+ on an entire kit, just that one small piece.
Thanks in advance, Derek

Make it yourself using THIS tool:

Inline Tube or Fine Lines may have the pre-bent lines as a set, not individually.
In some cases, you can get a line made at a hot rod shop or a place that specializes in brake jobs.

Go buy a Piece of 1/8" Brake Line from AutoZone and Install it Yourself. It helps if you have Line/Flare wrenches to get things tight w/o stripping/rounding anything.
I had a Leaking Wheel Cylinder, when I Bled the Brakes after the repair the Rubber Line Collapsed... When I tried to replace That the Lil Steel Line Broke. So I bought one and had it all done in an afternoon...
I did have to bend the Line to fit around the frame because it was straight but that only took a few minutes

Okay. In the pic you posted, the piece I need is on the far right. Question, each end of that line is different size. So the line I buy at the parts store has the same ends as the original or do I need fitting adapters or something?

Hmmn, mine were the same size at each end. I think one side may have had a few more threads...
They also have a Compression fitting that you can put between two broken pieces of line to rejoin them.

If that line is bad, what does the rest of the system look like? What's your car and your life worth? Replace all of it.

I just went through this on my 72 Scamp. Ok, first question is do you still have the old brake line with the fittings? If so you can do this and save the fittings and know you have the right sizes.

You can get a brake flaring tool and a tubing bender for free at AutoZone. You just need to buy the brake line and practice a little bit. I thought it was kinda fun making my own line. There is better flaring tools out there but this worked good enough for me so I decided to keep it. It was about $40 so now I have another tool and more learning experience. It wasn't too hard. Good luck! Steve

Wrong. Well only 1 detail. It's 3/16 line, not 1/8.
