I suppose that could work but... The factory round connector has 8 or 9 wires, only one 12 switched 12 volt in it. This new board has twice as many wires. Factories connector doesn't provide enough unused ports to accomodate all those wires. You need to get switched 12 volt to multiple instruments, switch on lighting, plus brake warning, who knows what else? I surely do not.
I know I keep the future services and future owners in mind and think my mods through. Sure, there are a couple of things I've had to redo over the years. I learned from my mistakes. Factories engineers have made their mistakes too so... Good luck with it.
