750 Edelbrock issue

OMG!
Just drop it fellas!

Don’t hold me to a standard you won’t keep yourself. I’ve watched and there are several members here who call people on their bullshit, and you are one of them. So if I call this guy out for his half truths and lies know that I know you do it too. This guy is full of ****. I am calling it what is, just like you do. When you let it go, so will I.

Happy to discuss what you consider half truths and lies. "The truth doesn't mind being questioned" remember.

Honestly its gas tank gunk.(old, bad/varnish gas) Now most will replace the tank I took a chance went for it and got to deal with the aftermath. Now it runs fine. I told the wife "the car sat for years the first time I had it in the road, i didnt replace the tank then..." I may replace the tank yet but i dint want to stop what i was doing which was to get the car running, but not on a gas can like it was.:) I know being cheap but I survived. Now one thing I also had done is put a heat spacer between the carb and intake, i suspect the gas was flashing off between starts. I had to long crank after hot shutdown before it would start.

Fair enough. How long was it on there for?

What the gas in the bottom of the tank? probably 15 years it wasn't much though not even a quart. I should have dropped and or replaced the tank I'm thinking. It sees to start and run ok now even with the pre winter cold we've been having . as long as I can get the carb primed she fires off. keep in mind I added a thermal spacer, and also ajusted it as per edelbrock lean best idle instructions.

“Don’t hole you?” That’s ******* hilarious. I do call people out and now I am for carrying on like a child.

Next….

ya ya ya ya ya….

When you let it go, so will I.
I did let it go in the least thread where as this is a new thread where you are carrying on a cross from the last one.

If there is BS tech in this thread, I’d like you to point it out.

The only thing I did was call for a little peace.

I fixed the autocorrect. I already pointed out the tech BS. Are YOU or the OP going to weld up the exhaust ports on an iron head? And then fill in the intake port with epoxy? Are you going to do all the flow testing to get the ports back in shape? Or would you do the smart, sensible, economic thing and start with a head that doesn’t need all that?

I’m way past the dick measuring contests of head porting. Long since way past it. And for Hysteric to come here, post ports like this and claim he is doing it and that it’s not incredibly expensive is BS. I can name some people who do do this stuff for a loving and they don’t want to do it. In fact they won’t do it. Unless it’s for a class. Are they stupid? Is Hysteric smarter then them? Has Hysteric EVER ported a set of heads for a National Record holding car? Ported a head that qualified at a National Event? I doubt it. It’s ridiculous to continue to post up port work that is so narrow in use here on FABO that it’s senseless. He can take that to Speedtalk and Yellow Bullet and post it there. And they will all shred him, with reason.

I had an Eddy 750 on my 340 (modified to about 375 HP) and it ran great. It did smell very gassy when I drove it. I downsized the front (primary) jets 2 sizes and that made a big difference. It was still GREAT when I put my foot in it, but driving in town and in traffic was way better. After 10 years with the 750, I switched to the Eddy 650 Thunder. It is a great carb.

OMG, STFU

Lol. So you can’t have a technical discussion on head porting. I’m good with that. I already knew the answer when I was typing it.

(While you would be correct, it is how and why I can not have a discussion with you.)

See, this is where your the retarded dirty *** wipe that carries on and on about a non topic issue in a thread not even on a topic.

In the thread where the battle happened with Hysteric, this issue of head porting would be a great place to carry your cross instead of mucking up this thread on an Edelbrock 750 carb.

I would love to have an adult discussion on head porting with an adult. One is not yet present here in order to discuss such a matter.

Twice in this thread you have asserted and assumed wrongly of myself. You show yourself no better than Hysteric did in the other thread. If anything, your doing a copy cat reply method that Hysteric put forth.

There is now a thread happening about the short side radius on head porting by another member (where you have already disagreed with Pittsburghracer) that I’m reading. You can put forth your ideas there.

I look forward to your adult replies and technical approach to the work you have done. Perhaps in this thread about head porting, many will read it and perhaps take the leap into doing there own work on there own heads.

I had heard that, that a 650 would work just as well. On a street application.. I mean if I was flooring it for 1/4 mile with more cam then yes definitely 750. i may pick up a 650 just to have one and do some switching around when I get this thing back on the road. I'm not one to do calculations ( well I may do calculations, but i still would wrench on it) I'd rather just take the 30 minutes to swap it out and run it see how I like it. I do have a 600 holley that works well i ran it on my 318.

Go read post 60 and then get back to me. I was reading the thread, and didn’t say a WORD until Hysteric posted more nonsense. I called him on it, just like you would. For whatever reason you feel the need to act like a moderator. I didn’t just post something out of the blue, my reply was to more of the junk that Hysteric posts. Get over it.

(Should have left a link to post 60. Please don’t bother.)
Instead of mucking up the thread some more, which is a thing I see that you like to do and cause trouble via false accusations levied against others, and/or carry on and on against others you deem unfit to leave replies, not to say about liars …. Why don’t you post about head porting in the head porting thread?

I’m over it, you are not since you MUST come back and continue posting about someone on something that is not on topic. PMing you in hopes to clear up this thread of nonsense BS off topic posts.

He can take that to Speedtalk

Here's a port that starts at 95 cc's with a 1.74 valve and finished up making 550HP across 3 builds. Doesn't look like he got shredded. As a matter of fact David Vizard was kind enough to compliment him.

Another holden - hillclimb/road racer & a lil different - Don Terrill’s Speed-Talk

"Grins all round, the 40 year old iron heads grudgingly let it make 556hp @ 6600rpm & 498ft/lbs at 5100rpm."

Some old holden heads I'm working on - PerformanceForums

Previous incarnation. He's a well known local engine builder that doesn't have any problems making power with a tiny head and small cubes.

Its amazing what can be done with a 95cc port but a 125 cc port mopar head........Nah their junk you can't make anything with those.....

You should have posted this on the other thread instead of a carb thread.

Here's a good enough place as any. I'm not going to chase people and their delusions.

Well, I think I’m going to have to agree with you since that even though it was a Edelbrock 750 carb thread turned into a head porting thread, it is as good as a place as any.

I would not consider you “Chasing” anyone by putting that where I thought it would do best.

Carry on Sir!
