68 twin turbo dart project.

Its been another long time since I had updated this thread. After my trip to Bakersfield I changed the rear gear and went to Irwindale for some 1/8th mile testing. The change in gear really spiced it up yet it didn't run any faster to the 1/8th, go figure. After Irwindale I went home and did some maintenance to the motor. Found a little bit of brass in the filter so I took it apart. What I found was the thrust bearing was worn out (AGAIN!). So I had bought a Ritter block a few months before and decided to build the motor I should have built all along. Its a 436" with the same W5 top end and a new but very similar 60 mm roller cam. This block is really trick and it has a lot going for it but it also is very different in how its built so building one made for a lot of running changes at the last minute. So in 8 weeks time I built a new motor and had it together just at the last minute to leave for Dragweek in Martin Michigan which is 2200 miles away from me. I put the 3.70 gear back in it and I dabbed up an aluminum trailer real quick for the Dart to pull.
