Does anyone have any images of a '67 273 Commando mill from back in the day?
Publicity shots, or actual shots of the engines when they were new.
I'd like to get an accurate account of the engines & engine bay.
Thanks.

I have some pictures. I'll do the search a add them to your thread.

What is it you want to see, the Commando is essentially the same as the 2bbl.

A few of us either have originals or have done the research.

Alan, I'd like to see all the little details, types of clips to secure wiring, how the heater hoses are routed, types clamps etc. I have a 67 Barracuda Formula S 273 4speed and the engine & bay look clean but I'd like to get it closer to the way it left the factory.

The clips on the inner fender are the same on all 67 a-bodies, the plug wire retainers on the valve covers are the standard type used in 67 on both the 2bbl and 4bbl. Hose clamps are the standard Corbin clamps. The heater hoses run over the valve cover, there is a piece of heater hose used as a spacer held on with an aluminum strap (I have a non factory bracket holding the hoses), that hose spacer should go under the hoses. Although I have converted my car back to 2bbl I have done the research on some original Commandos.
On the driver side the plug wires use a comb to hold them mid span. On the other side it is a round/square one.
Often missing is the clip for the horn wire on the alternator.
Should have the metal style PCV valve.

(ignore the mismatched plug wire clips on the valve covers, that was a 2bbl thing)

Thanks Alan, great images of your 273.
Nice attention to detail.
Is the little stand and strap arrangement for the heater hoses also the same for 273 HiPo mills?

That is the one item under my hood that is not factory, may grandfather made it and I kept it (along with the Delrin wing nuts on the battery).

The hose and strap that is with it belong under the heater hoses and act as a spacer to the valve cover.
