Tornadoes in Iowa tonight

-
Yep, nasty stuff especially for December...I’m in central MN and they are telling us to watch the weather...raining hard, thundering and lightning just like in July! Be safe people!

Here we go again. 90-100mph winds and trucks on their side.
Damn I hope nothing serious happens there. We’re supposed to get up to 65 mph winds here. I think I’ve got stuff tied down and went the other day and got some fuel.

Yep. It will be here in 10 min or so. This radar was at 7:15. I live in Waterloo.

Some damage from this storm but nothing like last week down south.

One thing I will say is the warning systems have really stepped up their game in predicting these storms. Maybe to the point that people may take the warnings for granted. Very early today I saw them predicting these storms for tonight.

Crazy....I went outside and the temp went up from 46° to 52°, it’s supposed to get down to 19 by morning with snow....

Yes sir,, The storm came over my house at 4:13 on the nose. dark as night, 80mph + wind and a tornado was headed our way as well. Living 3 miles west of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. I anxiously watched the forest, and my shed with the cars ... winds, That black cloud looked like the scene in Independance day, when the ships entered the atmosphere.. one wide row from horizon to horizon.
But by 4:30 it had headed to Iowa and continued to cause havoc.
All is good though, that is one tough building! My home is in between three hills, so we have a bit more shelter. no damage, but some nervous dogs!

I drove home through the storm, I was north and west of the are that got the tornado warning, but the lightning was a spectacular sight, and goofy with snow on the ground. The wind made my ride home "bumpy", and the rain was pretty intense a couple of times. I was out in the country, and knew the road so I was fine. If I hadn't of known the road, it would have sucked. It moved so fast, it was over in 15 minutes. Still windy though.

I'm in the center part of Illinois. They have been warning us for a couple days about this **** coming. They say the real nasty stuff will stay north of us but the winds could reach 70 mph plus. Everybody stay safe out there!!!
