Any AMC gurus out there in Moparland?

I have been thinking of going on the hunt for a 68-74 Javelin or AMX project. I realize it is a way smaller world that even Moparland, but I admit I am somewhat tired of overpriced Mopar projects, and I am not even talking of second gen Chargers or any Roadrunner! Even every Duster project I see these days is a POS and stupid $ for what it is. LOL
I enjoy learning about new things and I have little detail knowledge of building AMC. I bet there is precious little if any repo stuff for those. Probably a close knit group like Mopar was back in the 80s, 90s and thats good.
We had a guy in our Mopar club who had a 68 AMX; 390, 4 speed, Go Pack. About 12-15 years ago, he asked me If I would pull the seats and put in his carpet, install seat covers and install door panels. We agreed on a price, and he brought the car to my house. When I pulled the carpet, the front and rear floor pans were badly rusted and covered with fiberglass and undercoating. Anyway, I easily found the floor pans and found several places that sold a lot of AMX stuff. I will grant you that AMX and Javelin parts will not be super plentiful, but they may not be as hard to find as you think. I love AMXs. If I ever came across a decent project car at a decent price, I may have to jump on it.
