Hi I need someone to locate a item in Dandridge, Tennessee. My dads old tow truck I need to find it. Its sitting along the road somewhere down there . This is a canvas poster for sale on Face book. I am waiting for their response of where they took the pic but just thought someone on this site has seen it

When we owned it the last pictures is when it left. That is my orange Duster getting ready for paint its in the background.

Do you know Ken and Matt Hensley at Hensley Performance. They live in Dandridge and would probably know if it is in the area
 
I sent Hensley a message on Facebook with a picture of the truck. We'll see if he answers.
 
If the canvas poster person gets back with you, and you need someone to go put eyes on it...let me know. I live a little over an hour away, and will be glad to go look it over if needed.

Too bad you didn't post this a week ago... My youngest son just drove up here from NC on Wednesday....

Ken Hensley is a super nice guy to talk to and sure he would tell you if he has seen it around the area. I don't know if he does much on Facebook, Joe

I agree! Ken and his family are nice folks. He and his son have a racing oriented machine shop much like @Oldmanmopar and his son Steve. I just called Ken the other day to see if he could install lifter bore sleeves, and enjoyed talking to him since it's been a while. He ran a 68 SS Hemi Barracuda for years, and now his son Matt drives the car. If Steve finds the truck, I will be happy to go look at it, and run by Hensley Racing to shoot the bull with Ken & Matt.....kinda killing 2 birds with one stone! :)
 
I'll be in Manchester, TN late next week & Dandridge is about 3 hours east. I'd be willing to go take a look if you get an address. I'll PM you my number because I won't be close to a computer other than my phone & it hates trying to get to FABO for some reason.
 
My son has sent them a letter about purchasing it back today. Also we are in touch with a neighbor where it is. I will keep you all posted with pics when we go there. I just hope they sell it to us. You know how some people are . Their going to fix it one day. Our fingers are crossed. My son really wants to restore it. He has many memories in that truck. I would take him with me everyday towing mopars home and scrapping cars .

I lived in a trailer park. After my dad was killed I used that truck to earn what I have today. I had several Tow trucks but that was my transportation for several years . Cold in the winters and very hot in the summers. Several stories to tell from the cab of that truck. You all would not believe the things that towed , picked up, pulled out and spent weekends at Nazereth speedway for Demo derbies and towed all the cars away. Pictures on the track and at races. We owned it until 2008. My dad was killed in 1985 the year my son was born. That is when I got the truck.

Great story, I really hope that the current owners realize how much a part of your life and your son's life that truck is. Good luck and thanks for sharing.
 
Glad that you found it, Steve! I always wondered why you sold it. I remember seeing you post that you regretted it. hopefully yall can get it back. Good luck!
