Hi All,
My 68 Dart with a 500 stroker 440 source with their alum. heads , Comp Cam Xtreme Energy Hi-Lift .564" auto 727, 323 gear,325/50/15 (I think) cars not here right now.
I had a 2500 Stall B&M holeshot that seemed to stall around 2800.I liked it. Street car, I did run an 11.7 at Nostalgia Day at NE Dragway a few years back.Well I broke 2 teeth when starter kicked back. Was going to reorder the same but saw the Hughes 3000 stall

I'm thinking may be more suitable even though it's just a street car. If I don"t like it I can get a new ring welded on the old one.

More converter..more gear..As for a converter I like Ultimate Converters,give Lenny a call tell him your combo and what you want to run He'll build you exactely what you need and it WILL do want you want it to do..If it were my car 3.91's would be the gear in the rear:thumbsup::thumbsup:
 
i'd call dynamic and ultimate. give them every ounce of information you have and be 100% honest about the intended use and see what they recommend..
 
It's easy to take your trusty Harbor Freight angle grinder and cut the welds off the ring gear and do the same to a stock converter and then just weld it on. No big deal. Once the disc wears down it will cut deeper without weakening the gear. A lot of those you can flip and have all new surfaces. I've welded teeth on before tho.
 
That's an 11-teen or maybe even an 11 oh car with a good converter.
 
I have been very happy with my PTC converter. PTC will do whatever it takes to make you happy.

Any idea on the weight of the car? And I assume the stroke is 4.150” and tire diameter is about 28”?

As I said it's a driver. I like the 323 gears I cruise it from Ma. to Nh. on occasion and I like going 70 - 80 while on the hyway.

i have a 3600 ultimate best vert i ever had same as a stock one until put your foot in it then hold on . i like it better than my Frank Lupo dynamic by far .
