Been a long time for me when a boss got in my face trying to make me work faster. Like you I have no problems finding a job. I get my work done just like a journeyman and if he doesn't like me taking a smoke break, to bad.

Must be something in the air ? I don’t like how the boss has been lately, he has been barking ,so last Friday I had it out with him he was good for a couple days but he’s back to his old self , I phoned another shop at lunch and have a job if I want , just half to weigh pros and cons .

Morning, -19C. Meat is done for another year, freezers full. It’s a lot of work but takes a huge chunk out of the grocery bill and good family time. Putting tables away and wash shop floor, then off to next project. Hmmmmmm? Have to think about that one for a min.

Got an old wood lathe. Want to mod. it into a copy lathe, like a key cutter. That way I can reproduce old chair legs and rungs. Those old wooden farm chairs go for a good buck in the antique dealers. Maybe make some Amish style furniture also. Something to do in the lab.
That would be fun to do and make some side money. I haven't used a wood lathe since high school.

This is going to be a good puzzle to figure out, a key cutter the blade is stationary and the work moves across blade. In my case it’s the blade that has to move.
Not sure how you could set it up to copy something.
