70 Dodge Dart Swinger, 340 4spd. Anyone ever dealt with this ??? All of a sudden, the key does not turn engine over. No light dimming,,, when key is turned , just nothing. Battery cables are clean and tight, Maybe solenoid is stuck,,,, dunno' ? I looked in my big yellow Dart manual, hoping to find a diagram showing where this switch may be,,, nope ? I guess I will pull start it so I can get it into warm shop,,,,,ugh,,,

Is the clutch in when you are trying to start it?

My sister had my dad leave work and drive 25 minutes both ways to help her move the Dart cause it would not start.

When he got there he put it in park and started it right up.

From FSM you can bypass the switch tomsee if that is the problem

I Understand, I mistakenly thought that manuals also had neutral safety switch. Then looked at your wiring diagram and found it has a switch in the clutch pedal. See correction above

I've had battery cable go bad and do this. Switch and starter relay (Solenoid) are a good start. I've never found a clutch switch on my 69, it will start with the clutch out in gear. I'm not sure if this is correct, I feel it should have one.

I have seen replacement starter relays that have the NSS terminal grounded. ( This would defeat the NSS

Looks right. Manual trans cars don't need the "G" with the BR wire.

This is for 1969.
