Best drag racing stance

Great pix. Cal tracks on mine as well. Had issues with Demon scrubbing rears so raised it a bit more than posted pix. Cuda runs and hooks as pictured.

Every car is going to have a different stance for different purposes. An 11 second bracket car isn’t going to have the same stance as Lyle Barnetts leaf spring radial car. And neither are going to have the same stance as high and mighty. Personally, I’m not going to make my 12 second dart look like something it’s not. I’ve noticed the trend of guys putting parachutes on cars that would not come near 150 mph because they think it makes them look fast. That’s no different then the ricers running big wings and carbon fiber.

I agree. Just build what you want and be did wif all dat yo.

Very nice. What is that color? Medium Bronze Metalic?
Welllll, don’t tell anyone, but it’s actually a GM color (GASP!). Called Sunburst Orange Metallic. It was painted in 2001, so you would have seen that color on Cavaliers, Grand Ams, etc. On a cloudy day it looks bronze but in direct sun it looks more orange.

Too high in the back makes your % of rise increase. Which is already problematic in a leaf spring A body. The instant center/front spring section is so short, the rear wants to rise a bunch already. Add to that a low front height limits the weight transfer.

Ah yes, I know the color. I asked because my first Duster was a medium bronze metallic and thought the same color on yours. (The secret is safe…)

Testing the waters with the experts.....
Seeing a lot of cool rides and getting ideas.
I'm running S/S Springs w/1" lowering block.
Keeping the front (kinda) low for stored energy on launch.
Thanks for the pics and ideas on all of them so far!

And too low in the back looks like rotten dog ***.

Not a race car, but it does hit the strip from time to time.
