I have a set of Weld Rodlite wheels from a package deal and I am a huge fan of the look and how light they are but I want my car to eventually run Autocross type events and some canyon carving with sticky tires. Are Rodlites up to those kinds of sideloads? Or are they strictly suited for mild street driving and drag racing?
 
are they forged or cast? i've cracked cast wheels after they had about 3 hard years of auto-xing on them with 200utqg tires. forged will last a lot longer, but any race wheel should be concidered a wear item eventually

if you want to auto-x those wheels, here's a sticky 15" tire. street tire auto-x classes have tire wear restrictions. and those are too soft. usually 200 utqg rating, but i don't think there's any 15" tires available that soft anymore. there are R-comp classes that you can get 15's for but they don't last long. canyon driving you'll probably end up looking for 17" or 18" wheels someday anyway. what else have you done to the car?

Most weld wheels adds I `ve seen , say not for autocross use ------------

the car is still very much in the early stages of the build. I have only really worked on tuning for reliability and brake upgrades, currently I am in the process of prepping a 8.75 rear to finish my BBP conversion and also prepping a 2 door body for a body swap. I am already running large disks in the front with 17" steel rims off an '06 Charger but these are significantly lighter so I was just looking into my options. I think you're right, long term I am going to want 18" rims anyway so I don't think I will be keeping these.
