Maybe not. Found this in the drawer today, and just had to cut it open.

Buy just enough for the job. I’ll buy 2 or 3 smallest size rather than one big one. More money for 3 small ones, not when you throw up half the large size.

Trick with those is put a but of saran wrap over the opening then screw the cap on. Works.

I have a few of those sealed mini tubes of silicone. They set up over a long period of time. The amount i go through i buy the caulking gun size.

buyer beware, loctite gel tubes keep about 1/3rd of the product inside. Like 20 or so bolts worth.

I keep mine like this. I bet it bought me 1 or 2 extra days :(

...and yeah, Loctite is like a bag of potato chips- only 1/4 full.

It'll still harden even in a plastic bag unless you suck all the air out. I said suck.

Yup, it does. But it makes me think I'm doing something, lol

I had a pump bottle of Gold bond itch cream (stuff is awesome) and I ran out. Well, I was in a pickle as this foot was itching so bad I could not sleep so I took the bottle out of the trash, cut it open and there was a good portion still in the bottle to my relief. Slathered some on and was back asleep in 5 minutes according to my wife (whom I woke up itching my foot!) They sell super glue in little 5 packs now, call them "one use" tubes.

The auto parts used to sell little winders that you could use to roll the rtv from the bottom up. It was a cheap sheet metal deal.

Makes application a breeze and pulls every last bit from the tube if you're careful when you wind it. And my winder equipped tubes don't seem to go bad near as fast.

Ask for em!

Now, a tube of caulk on the other hand... what's the trick?

I use galvanized nails in the caulk tube, seen to not react like zinc nails. Have to cut the hole small as possible. There is caps, but they want too much for them. The tube winders are super useful. I have a few of them.

Ha, we cut a square hole in the side of the hand cleaner jug once the pump won’t squirt out any cream… seems like it’s an 1/8th of the jug left in the bottom…

Haven’t seen those in a while remember using them on toothpaste when I was a kid, haven’t seen them in years

I put a roofing nail in the end of the cartridge nozzle. That seems to help.

I use a clothes peg on the toothpaste tube. Flatten it out and roll it up and put the peg on works great

I get them in every tube of silicone I get from supply. Its just a tin tube with a slit cut in it. Probably make one with a bandsaw and a piece of rod. Just pull it out with pliers when your done and reuse it.

Ya I know what they look like. Being an air head just forgot about them. Never saw them in any tubes of anything that I use thanks for the reminder
