Anyone ever use one of the Hemi offset plates to move the booster? Does the ‘73 and up booster clear the valve cover with the offset?

I can't speak for the '73 and up units, but I have a '71 unit on my '66, no offset bracket needed. It is tight, though.

I plan to use a 68 or so Midland Ross booster with the stock mounting brackets on my 65 with a V8

so you are going to more of a B body setup with a 2 bolt MC?

No, it’s an A body booster. The brackets that raise the booster above the valve covers are stock A Body with the 4 mounting holes. I’ll get some pics this morning

I’ll also measure it; I think it’s an 8 inch booster; definitely a Midland Ross and looks the same as depicted in the 68 or 69 FSM

The booster is roughly 8 inches side to side or 23/24 inches in diameter

On my '66; no offset adapter, just the A body bracket:

This picture is deceiving, the booster measures ~7" dia., even though it doesn't appear to...

Yeah the Midland Ross booster is smaller diameter but longer and a dual stage booster. Some of the modern boosters, imports etc,, could fit and work with some mods to mounting.

FYI;
I tried to use that Dual Diaphragm on my HO367,(68 Barracuda) but the engine wouldn't make enough vacuum to make it work properly. Mine had a band-clamp holding the two halfs together so I took it apart. There was nothing wrong with it.
So I swapped in a large single-diaphragm booster from a 73 to 75 Dart, which worked fine. My cam is a 276/286/110; 230/237@.050

There is a very common small diameter booster available thru Jegs or Summit. Unsure of mounting pattern so may have to be adapted to the A-body bracket and you'd have use a later Mopar two bolt master cylinder. But far easier to find than the small diameter dual diaphram booster others have used/recommended. Per AJ/FormS it would seem the later A-Body single diaphram booster will clear.

Thanks Steve. I am just trying to keep it all Mopar parts where I can.
