Recently picked up a 2020 6.4 that was a hydro lock deal. No visual damage to the block. Couple broke rods though.. Planning on doing a 426 stroker, ported heads, custom cam with single plane intake with Holley injection throttle body. Stay tuned

I’ll keep you guys posted but won’t be fast swap. More than likely it will start the end of summer. I’ll ride out the 318 while I build the new hemi. As for the trans I’m thinking about 727. I just got the wild idea today for paddle shifted behind factory steering wheel. manual valve body. I hate after market shifters but I want full manual and not on the steering column.

Think that a 426 ported heads and cam/ single plane with make 600 to the tire. Not too familiar with new hemi power naturally aspirated.

Well.. got it apart and.. she’s a little rougher than I thought.. heads seem okay so that’s good. They forgot to mention that they used a torch to get number two rod out.. hopefully the bore is okay.. any thoughts?? Would the torch get the block too hot to deform it?

Shiii, I’ll take it if you don’t want to sleeve. A sleeve ain’t nothin’. Eight would be expensive though.

by the time it needs sleeved and machine work. you can nearly buy a new bge block ready to assemble wiyh your shory block.

Bore checked out with a gauge. Going to get it finish honed and see if it cleans up. Talked to the guys over at mmx and I’m probably going to go with the forged rods and piston for 392. More streetable from what they where saying rather than 426. Will probably opt to do the high compression option. Custom cam grind also.

mocking everything up.. very tight everywhere haha. What trans dip stick are you guys running? Also this steering column needs heavy modifications. What have you guys done? I want to keep column shift so some sectioning may be in order. I’ll be making headers but how on gods green earth do the pre made ones fit??

I have a braided Lokar. Its royal pain in the ***, but, the only thing that works. The outer tube needs to be trimmed back to the firewall. Column shift needs no mods. It will work. Even with TTI headers. Speaking of those, they do fit. It's ten pounds of **** in a five pound bag.

Yes, trimmed the outter sleeve back to firewall. I don't have header pics at the moment. Car is off site right now. If I have time today, I'll stop by and grab some pics. Anything in particular you want to see?

Number one tube on driver side if you could. How it meshes with motor mount. Also the lower plastic bearing on column. How did you keep it in place when you cut the outer sleeve? I have it cut apart. Thanks

I recut the little slots that hold the retaining clip. Used a thin cut off wheel.

It may be the angle of the photo, but it looks to me like you have the engine sitting a lot lower than stock.

Just looks like it. Per the measurements of Holley pan I have .250 clearance to k member and the engine is in at 2.8 down on the tail shaft.
