Ford Cortinas in Europe got a 36 DCD. 2 bbl progressive with removable choke tubes and no choke mechanism. Had fuel enrichment like some of the sidedrafts instead. You can still get them imported but they sure aren't cheap.

I googled 36 DCD and found one with a mechanical choke.
