Your 440, does it have a cast crank? If so,You'll also be external balanced. Forged crank, likely internal balance, usually is prepared for an input shaft and provisions to have a bushing.
Don't know why you say that. I've only had 4 different 440's. 3 of them were auto originally and none of the 3 had the pilot hole deep enough or large enough
