Picked up a '65 Valiant 100

Been a while since I posted here!
Well, that LA318 with Magnum heads/intake didn't stay in there too long. Started blowing a ton of blue, suspected rings. Then the rear main popped. So I pulled that and installed a '69 318 I bought from a friend, it was in his Barracuda. Again, rings and rear main.. sigh.
So then I painted it dark blue with a white roof, sprayed it in the shop. Should have probably cleaned the shop, oops! Lots of orange peel, dust and dog hair, but it's ok! I didn't pay anyone to do it.
Then I pulled the 2nd 318, and decided to do a home rebuild on the 1st one, the one that had Magnum heads/intake, as it had previously been to the machine shop, hot tanked, new cam bearings and flat top pistons installed. I had since sold the heads, intake, oil through pushrods & lifters to a buddy, but I had LA parts I could put back on. I did a stone hone on the cylinder walls for fresh cross hatch, new rings, new rod and main bearings, new oil pump. Cam is a Comp .488. Still running the Spitfire shorty Early A headers. Welded the slots in the distributor to recurve. Edelbrock 650 with mechanical secondaries, Flowmaster 40's, though I may change those.
Still running the ball & trunion 4 speed, I shortened the driveshaft and installed an A body 8 3/4 I had in the shop.
Broke in the rings/bearings the other day, it's running great, no more smoke, no more leaks.
