With or with out a hood scoop?

For the record, I like your hood as-is. Definitely don't cut that one.

I was very happy with my AAR hood, but that was 10 years ago. I have heard good things about Glasstek.

Be aware that you'll have to pull the fenders and remove the hood springs from the hinges - even "weakened" springs will warp the glass hood over time. I use a prop rod now. You also need to remove the extra piece of steel that the spring mounts to, or the rattles will drive you crazy. I didn't - and it does! One day when I feel ambitious, I'll pull the fenders and remedy that. Save your parts!
I had the same experience, I had a 71 Camero that I used to race in NMCA & PSCA and put a fiberglass hood with light Tension hood springs and my hood cracked. Wow pulling the finders off to get at the springs, that’s a bit much as I might damage the paint and not to mention lining it up again. Body shop.
