Stop in for a cup of coffee

Can you pressure test it?

That's the first thing the gen tech did as he couldn't find the leak until he did. Hint, the gen ran for it's "weekly exercise" then set an "abnormal condition" fault in our monitoring system. Overtemp light locally.

Old trick I know to find a leak in a mess. Put blue food coloring into the coolant and re pressurize it.

Good Morning All! All day up on Mt. Erie yesterday, road was closed due snow/ice, parks dept. lock frozen (torch would not open?) so had them dispatch out to use their hard key. Chains a must as it's over 1000 feet up this bump but quickly/steep. Was responding to a generator fail, go into gen room antifreeze on the floor, any guesses?
Water pump

The overtemp alarm was kind of misleading, it was a summary alarm, actually set off by low coolant. Surprisingly the gen was only about a gallon low.

Ding ding ding! H20 pump and this is an old Onan diesel. Waiting for parts.

Snowing again and the cold isn't leaving for a couple days. I just ordered chains for my tractor, don't really want to try clearing the hill, so steep I probably won't be able to get back up. We maintain the road here, and we used to buy sand. This year they switched to ice melt, I liked the sand better!

I cant pay near that much, they sit around for a while. I have a demand for them on non 100 point rebuilds though.

prob have a few hundred sets of dual points actually. Condensers are a ***** to find at a decent price. You have to remember some fail also so you have to account for that, the mopar tolerance is tight .25-.285mf
