That is what I use. I still have to take a sand paper roll and hit the copper tube a little for clearance. I try to stay off the rest of the lifter bore.
Also, I want to mention, if you happen to have the Goodson dowel pin remover setup, it has the same slide hammer. No need to buy another for the ball.
Edit, you asked about Hughes, I have a goodson. They look the same.
