Damn right! Go to your electric plug in place and get a squeegee you're paying your money there...

Let me guess. TELSA parked at the pump, cleaning windows and buying coconut water?

:rofl::BangHead:

I was sitting in a local mall parking lot the other day eating my lunch and had a good view of the Tesla charging station. I timed one dude and it took him 28 minutes. He could have washed the windows inside and out, vacuumed the carpet and rotated the tires in that amount of time! :realcrazy:

I am with you man, these EV folks think everything is free.
Try cleaning your damn glass when the poor businesses that sell gas are GONE.
Oh yea, don't even get me started on singing a queen song while your bowtie drives itself.

I agree all that commercial shows is that the people who buy their products are self entitled snobs

28 minutes? I would cut my throat! What about the guy behind him? U want to be third in line? Order a pizza?

I never wanna be "third in line"......

I like to think each car I gas up has never been filled up by any other gas pumps before me. I certenly dont wanna spend 28 minuets watching it get charged up...

:welcome:

I'm not saying anything cause it's political but I will say if you want one don't push your wants on me.It all uses oil

Might be time to start buying stock in towing companies. Not everyone is going to sit that long and charge their cars up. How many people drive with the gas light on and the guage buried on E currently?

What? electric heaters and electric motor driven a/c compressors. My wife's Envision has that damn auto stop. Thanks to heated steering wheel and seats. It takes twice as long to warm the damn thing up in stop and go traffic when the temp is in the teens or below. Oh ya, Let off the brake and engage the starter one more time. I'm sure that will be a cheap one to replace in 30,000 miles. It will have 100,000 miles on it by then. How about a option to switch the damn thing off? Nope.

Easy people it was just a reference to a commercial that's all...
This will get all political and people will get all crazy in the next thing you know..
MS, YR, RB will be looking for a fourth handle LOL...

Exactly!!!^^^^ And they are trying to kill all the coal plants but, increase our use of electricity without a stable way to produce the increased demand for electricity??? DUH!!!

The American car makers need to stand up to the government and refuse to convert to all electric as, they would be building something for a market that is not there. I'm not saying that electric vehicles don't have a market but, the masses are not clambering to have one. Let the people who want one, buy one, the rest of us should still have the option of gas or diesel. I hate to say it but, listen to Toyota or Honda, both of which have came out and said this is not a good idea or realistic ideology to switch to all electric as, no country is even close to having the infrastructure to support it.

I was reading an article the other day and, they guy writing it was a former government infrastructure guy. He had written that the thought of going "carbon neutral" means the airline industry would have to go away as it has no real answer to being carbon neutral. The same would go for the shipping industry. No more importing or exporting goods unless we use sailboats.

As consumers we have the right to buy what we want but, if the only option is electric what do you do then? I feel we all need to stand up and contact our representatives and express our thoughts on this electric switch over. There is nothing "Green" about these cars. The batteries are extremely toxic with no way to really dispose of them and, have you ever seen a Lithium mine??? Below is a picture of one...looks "Green" to me...and, how are the mining this Lithium?? Oh ya, diesel equipment...lol..."Green".

If things keeping going the way they're going, there won't be a safe space.
You get no grief from me, you know that.
I save the politics for N+P.
FWIW I see myself in a horse drawn carriage before stopping to charge an electric car. Giddy Up !!

Me too! I remember back on the Jetson's cartoons the old building maintenance guy where they lived has a old car up on blocks. He started it up for George once. These electric car stories remind me of that scene. That'll be me !
Henry Orbit was his name!
