Quest for 7's in the 1/8

Yo 318, if you want to find your missing brake push rod there is a time honored method for finding it. Simply order another one, it will magically appear as soon as you spend the money on a new one. Works every time, trust me.
100% Agree

Sounds like my place. I trip over stuff until I need it. Then a blackhole opens up, and its never seen again..
I knew I wasn't the only one...
Yes! when I needed one, a certain member with A tunnel rammed, stroker, 4 speed duster gave me one, and wouldn't even let me pay the shipping. A great guy, even if he does like snow!
I appreciated the opportunity to make a small dent in payback from other members sending me stuff...
Again thank you...

Of course I would do something crazy like get the dimensions of the likely shorter rod that you need and cut mine down and reweld it...
And my $98 Harbor Freight welder would pay for itself for the 960,450th time...

I like nice thoughts... and I'm thinking when I run 7.9's with the Bombcycle, then we start the 440 build and drop a second to 6.9's - - - which is 10.9's

I still say you ought to call it the dream machine... LOL..

It's simple math. All the calculators say I'm about 340 hp right now. I'd say if I add 120 hp and about 120 ft lbs of torque, I should drop from 7.9's to 6.9's. The 360 is doing super great! Wait till you see the 440 :D :D :D

Calculations = bench racing LOL...
I would suggest planning around good air pressure LOL...

one step at a time. Remember, it went from barely running-not peeling a pebble, to running decent but it lost to my Ram, then it beat my Ram, then it ran a 10.08 w/318, then it went 8.8's, then it went 8.2's, now lets get to 7.9's.

I remember "Dreamweaver..." Bahaha...
I hope it happens but please remember you can only twist that distributor back and forth and those mixture screws in and out so much...

The last few posts prove it: Winter is officially here!

I have to hit the sack, I have an early appointment with the coffee pot.

7.9's (or faster) WILL happen this year. And nobody doubts it. Nobody. :)

I ordered it last night, so I should have an extra one here in a couple of days

More horsepower less brake power...
That combination ought to get you where you want to go....lol..

Yes you quoted me correctly that's what I said...
I said nothing about break power no need to add that...
Read post 167... you clearly said "less brake power" LOL.

Jan 5th 2022 - manual brake pushrod ordered, cheap.
Getting back on track..... Thinking out loud...

I had thought about one of those pump drives, but I sure don't like that price. Didn't they used to be about $50?
