Out of Storage After 35 Years - Couple Questions
I've read about oil in the cylinders and priming the oil pump, but I have a couple other questions. This 340 wasn't stored well. In looking at the oil filter mount in pic #1, does this look like the previous owner used a 90 deg adapter. I know he used headers. If so what do I need to do to return to the straight spin on. I'm using manifolds and want to make my life easy as possible.
Second, he had homemade engine mounts to fit a slant k frame (pic #2). I'm using a spool k with matching control arms and sway bar. I bought new motor mount brackets. My question is can I use his bolts and do the mounts orient on the block ears the same way these do in the picture?
