If you want to find non-ethanol gas in your area.....

-
Alcohol free gas solved all my heat related issues with my stock 67 273. No need to modify the fuel system. Plus it is typically higher octane

Around here there is only one gas station that has it. There are numerous marinas that have it as well.

It's regularly available around here about a dollar more per gallon over ethanol blend premium

Nearest to my california house is forty miles one way..... and it's race gas only. (At least the stock nitrous too ). Nearest to my Arizona place is also forty miles one way, if you don't count the little self serve airport. But that stuff can't be used in a catcon car.

I hope our government doesn't stop the allowance of non-ethanol fuel in the future.
Our old gas burners NEED it and want it.

There's a Pure Gas cell phone app, too. It will tell you where E-0 is available based on your location. It works very well.
Some information was out of date at a station, so the website allowed me to update it.

Around here 89/90 octane non-eth is about 50-60 cents more per gallon than 87.
It's actually less than 93 at some stations.
Almost all Wawa's have it on multiple pumps (usually all 4 on one row, or all 4 corners)
A few Sunoco's and a few Citgo's have 100 or 110 race gas, but that is $10 a gallon.

Last I heard they were talking about ending ethanol subsidies.
I buy 91 non-ethanol from Co-Energy card lock stations at about the same price as ethanol from Chevrons.

Non-ethanol gasoline stopped the boiling in the carb after driving my slant-six and made re-starting for the trip back home much easier. Hopefully it will also reduce the brittle gas lines that sidelined my chain saw and string trimmer in the past.

Must be some sort of Guvment restriction because most of the Stewarts shops have it throughout the state. None in any counties close to New York $hitty. I'm 80 miles out and closest one is 10 miles away. I have plenty of Stewarts near me.

I hope Stewarts shops keep selling the 91 non-ethanol. I don't care that it cost more, provides a good running engine. I only wish you could still purchase leaded fuel.

Sunoco still sells leaded racing fuel. It has high levels of lead, enough that if you put 5 gallons in a thankful of 91 E-0, it will boost the octane really nicely. It is comparable to what was available at the pump until the late '70s, when leaded premium went away. I have a couple dealers near me that sell five gallon pails of high octane leaded race gas. Check this site to see what is close to you.

Sunoco Race Fuels

Of course lead is a poison, and removing it from gas was a good thing. Also, using off road fuel in your car on the highway is illegal. But I'm not preaching.

Yep ... I buy Sunoco 110 out of the pump for 6.50 ish a gallon locally .
My Maico 490 likes a little bit in her tank ...

Good price, my local supplier sells the pump race fuel for $9.95 a gallon. Ouch!

Yep, that's a great price.

Last time I checked ours was $9.99 and that was when 87 was under $3.

Yeah the manager told me guys come down from Seattle and Portland and buy multiple 50 gallon drums.
They go thru 10,000 gallons per month !

That's a lot of Denaro's worth of go-go juice.

There is only one station near Rose City MI that sells E0 but it is only 87 octane which I can't use in the 470 Cuda. 93 octane pump gas works fine in my Cuda as far as I can tell, been using it for many years without a problem. But in the generators, chain saws etc I always drain or shut off the tanks and run them dry.

Can you mix it to reduce the percentage?

I used to mix 93 eth and the 89/90 non-eth in my '69 440, but after fiddling with the carb, it runs just fine of that straight 89/90 non-eth.
