Here's a link to a webpage that I have been working on, its purpose is to help explain what's behind my views on tuning a stick shift clutch...
ClutchTamer.com

It's a work in progress :)

I have one... Do they complete thread on the installation as well... Haven't had it at the drag strip to give it the ultimate test though....

I was unaware this was "new" technology.

I'm familiar with it. Like 20 years ago.
It looks like Grant is pulled up some new data... And some more theory...
One awesome guy to talk to and very helpful if you ever call him...
Super kudos to him for inventing this product....

Oh I have no doubt. I'm all for any improvement.

Again I have the old version or the non-hydraulic version in my car and the outright simplicity yet innovative technology is outstanding...
Yeah it's almost gettin close to cheatin. lol

Link fixed! sorry for not checking last nite. Figured I had better write that stuff down somewhere, pretty tough to convey it all over the phone :)

To clear up some speculation, how long has the clutch tamer been in production?...
Is it still the big ticket in the coyote class?..

1st version was in 2010.

Just to be clear- I've never been to any CS events, never met anyone associated with them or NMRA in person, don't sponsor any CS racers or their class, don't even pay any contingencies. In spite of that, every single Coyote Stock event for the past several years has been won using one of my ClutchTamers. Likewise in NMRA Factory Stock.

I've had NHRA stick shift class racer customers win at the US Nationals as well... on radials! Several top shelf FWD and AWD import teams are customers. Hell, Subaru has even used them on their standing start Rally cars!

I have read this and am very perplexed! My Valiant Charger with 410 when I first ran it at the drags with those radial drag/street tyres I was dropping the clutch at abot three or four thousand revs and running around 12.1 . I then did a run just dropping the clutch at about twelve hundred revs and it ran a 11.7 straight away. I learnt that the engine had enough torque to pull out of the hole with just dead hooking it and from then on would run 11.7s all day long!

Imagine if you could leave the line with your two-step set at 4500 RPMs and have your clutch tamer adjusted to give just a quarter to a half a turn of slip... Just enough to have Max torque at takeoff?...
What is your 60 ft time right now?...

So...as far as we know I am the only abody guy in this thread that has actually raced with a clutch tamer? And nitrous for that matter lol. Lots of theory floating around this thread huh
