66 Dart Owners thread

I just keeping learning ever day. Problem now is the hard drive is full so I have to delete something else to fit it in. Lol

This junk runs and drives! Brake master leaks, water pump leaks green(!), pwr steering HP hose has a split and the bulkhead connectors are fried at the B+ connections...

Sounds like an old FLA car to me... except for the actual coolant. Finally got the trunk open. A better condition '65 trunk lid was stuffed in there.
that looks like the kind of car that you slide sideways around corners, tires screeching through town, and women gathering their kids and running for cover...:)

Boiled peanuts is a Southern thing, but they can be bought at the grocery in a can heck maybe even in Mi.!! Boil them again, and eat warm or cold. If you are not a S. local, you will either love or hate them.
I was raised in S W Ga and peanut country. A kid back then, could boil, them in salty water (until tender), pressure cooker was fast, sell them on Main St. in a small paper bag for $.10 and make a lot of $$ every Fri and Sat afternoon. Can't say I have ever seen anyone born there that did not have a taste for them. They are best picked about 10 days or so before maturity.
Yea back in the 60s, $.10 went a lot further!
Back then, in the late fall, I rode my horse out across the countryside looking for any pecan trees out around any old home sites that "appeared" not to be "valued" by anyone. I guess you could call it stealing. I was about 13 and figured worse would be a cussing an run off. I paid for my first "good" saddle. About 500# of pecans picked up and hauled off in gunny sacks horse back. :BangHead:

Boiled (green) in salty water vs roasting (dry) in the oven! Roasted is a Yankee thing and boiled is a Southern thing! Not sure what they do in Ca. !!

I’m going to see if I can find some here. I’ll probably like them.

Wal Mart has them here. My cardiologist doesn't like me to have them though.

Thanks for the pic. If I can’t find them here I’ll look in Tennessee when I get down there.

As someone trying to decide on a color for my 66, this thread is a great resource. If you guys have photos of your 66 Darts, post them up!

66 Darts look good with any color. Just any old dress and some lipstick.

O crap no photos on my new computer yet. Next time I'm on my phone I'll post some.

I noticed about 10 different colors on the first page here. I don't think there's any way to view all the photos in a specific thread without scrolling through the thread.

Originally ZZ1 gold poly metallic. It was repainted with laquer and the paint is dead. I had the rust fixed on the lower 1/4s and trunk drops. Na, I don't need no new paint. I don't have a place to take it apart. (or the energy) Black would be good.

Interior color has a lot to do with the exterior color selected.
