I used to LOVE Kroger's egg rolls.
They had a helluva pastry made with custard, whipped cream, and partially dipped in chocolate that I always called a "messy thing".
A friend told me that Publix broke the "gentleman's agreement" that kept them South of the Mason-Dixon, and Kroger to the North, and now Kroger is entering Southern markets.
They got here a few months ago, but are delivery only.
