How do YOU index your vast array of thumb drives?

Over the years I've acquired a vast collection of thumb drives, some marked with masking tape, some not at all. I recently wanted to make a bootable "live" install USB for the newest Linux, and this entailed a "side project" because when you do that, the "live" OS booted from the USB cannot save anything. But there's a procedure online to make what is called "persistent" which means that you CAN same some stuff, which I did.

But I STILL was without a way to mark the damn things, and they are so small they can "get lost."

So a chunk of heat shrink and a string tied paper tag.................just ran the string through, looped it, and heat shrunk it. Now I know what it is, and it's big enough to not lose quite as fast
