Ouch, it looked like a decent car too....not sure if you know what “banger racing” is but it’s like a race with high speeds and the cars smash into each other very hard trying to go around a tar track...not sure what country it’s done in but it’s not here in the USA...kinda fun to watch but sometimes they wreck some really good cars...kinda like demo derbies here....except way more crazy, but a 67 Cuda?!? I didn’t see any after pictures....probably good but I’m curious lol

So it's like a demolition derby "race". ok.

Well that's just demolition derby. No race involved. lol

What gets me is with the internet being around, I cant imagine after a quick internet search, that anybody thinking that doing that with this car would be a good thing. Heck the front clip grilles in that thing were worth more than the whole car. Stupid people. Such a shame.

Gotta be Australia...it says "ozzy" right on the side

Looks that way to me also, I’m not sure if there is even a winner...but they get up to speed! Skip ahead in the video and there is more racing. They even have classes for older cars....here are a few I seen....even classic Mustangs!

They do a similar type of racing in Illinois. Five laps per heat, two teams banging the crap outta each other. My buddy did it, calls the regular demos stupid.

That's just sad, really. I've seen lots worse than those restored.

Wow. That is some crazy-*** junk there. It looks like the concept is to crash into as many cars as possible even if it means destroying yours in the process?

Theres that much solid old metal in england like that to destroy? I thought it was wet as hell there and everything rusts to crap in 10 years.

I presume they like older cars because of their resistance to compacting. I looked it up , they are doing this to Rolls Royce's too. I thought over in england and those places that they loved big american iron? I would have thought there would have been more people preserving this stuff instead of destroying it. Or is it that the prevailing winds have shifted against gas powered vehicles there and this is a way for them to get rid of em all. That little twit Greta Thundberg would be proud. I know theres cities in england where they will not let you take a gasoline powered car anymore. As far as the wrecks go, some of these ID10Ts are gonna have serious neck problems in their future.

For many years Chrysler Imperials were the king of demo derbys.

They do that at a fair here with buses and then motorhomes. Pretty fun to watch the carnage.

On a FB group I belong to that was discussing this, people are saying that many of these old cars in the UK, England, or wherever are actually being stolen since they are getting harder to find, nice drivers and cars that might be sitting are being taken and destroyed like this. Many oddball cars like 1950’s & 60’s mopar limos and hearses, stuff you can’t find in the states are being used. Many cars are complete junk and rusted out and fixed up to look nice for race day but the hardcore guys don’t care. There were a couple guys buying nice Imperials from the USA and bragging to everyone what they did just to get them fired up...some of these cars were even low mileage survivors...they have since banned Imperials I guess so they quit wrecking them. But they are getting hard to find so some are buying them from here and shipping them over...that can’t be cheap!

The front end on that barracuda looked pretty clean, I wonder if it was stolen then wrecked like that.

Read the caption. Apparently they think its funny. It's their money they are flushing down the toilet. That us the stupidest thing I have seen lately.

And another. I mean it's their money, but a 73 charger in ok shape went for $10k on a used lot out here.
