Don’t underestimate the power of Mopars. Here is my dads car, straight off the truck it was running 12:30 in the quarter, on bias ply H-70-14 tires. Here’s his time slip from Summernationals in 1970. Oh yeah, it’s a convertible 6bbl car, 4:10 4 speed. A heavy car to be running those times, but it’s true. Had Godfrey come over to Telegraph Rd., where my dad had his fun, he would’ve had his hands full racing Dads car. It was one of a kind.
