A buddy of mine is buying this beauty. I think He said its a W100 but im not sure on that.

I am trying to convince him to not take it all apart and just drive it as is.

Its a 1964, slant 6, A904? (4 speed manual) P.T.O. transfer case and I think dayna 60s.

Its probable its has twin sure grips in the axles but that is unknown at this point. Right now she is buried under a lot of snow. I told him to go dig her out as I have personally seen cars and trucks get crushed by snow load. Hopefully She makes it to next summer when we can extract her and get her back on the road.

And yes. I want it.

It must have been a B5 truck? Im curious to decode the fender tag and see what color the body was. (Its primer now)

The 4 speed used in that will be an NP435 most likely. Yeah that's badass. They are pretty valuable as is. Is the drive train original? No way I'd change it if it is.
 
I have yet to see it in person but it looks all original.

I told him,

"If you cant afford to pull the 6 and build a MOPAR big block, leave the 6. And no you can not afford a MOPAR RB."

I see no reason to change anything. This is one of my friends from Tahoe and no offence but I remember how much "extra cash" i had when I lived and worked there. Lets just say no one lives there to get rich.

On the plus side of the tahoe life is there are lots of nice folks so when I say my friend is "buying" this. Its more like, "come get it out of my yard and get me drunk and high some day." Type of deal.

So yeah. It will stay original. I REALLY like it. I must be getting stranger in my old age because it is ugly as a bag of busted but holes, but Id drive the hell out of it.

Those things are worth a lot in original condition. I wouldn't touch it other than a possible restoration. I'd probably do like I did with Vixen and get it "runnin and drivin".
 
Military usage etc is my guess. Seems like I have seen them before.
 
Rowdy Roddy Piper had one of those, in a sedan delivery version when he was in high school. He lived in my neighborhood, and I think my asshole brother went to the same school with him.
 
I love it as is.
If you get it, I would go through the brakes, tires, etc. and get it road worthy and drive it as is.
Those trucks are tanks and it's hard to break them.
My brother almost bought one in the late '70s for 50 bucks because it had a Dana 60 in it. and it was a sedan delivery.
I thought it was cool on it's own and wished he would have bought it.....
But, he came across a rolled '68 GTX for 75 bucks with no drive train except for the 3:54 Dana that was still in it.
Long story short, I ended up with the Dana 60 for my '69 Super Bee about 5 years later for 200 bucks.
He was happy he made money on it!
Those were the days....
 
It will have an np420 transmission and a np201 transfer case, hydraulic clutch.
 
It looks very similar to my buddy's truck. Joe's truck has been "sectioned" in reverse by adding several inches to the height of the body, and has had a wheelchair lift/mechanism added in the back. It drives with hand controls, just like his '70 Dart Swinger 340 he races quite regularly.

There was 2 in this area. Both were power wagons. Both were 318 poly engines. Tough as nails. I should ask elmer if he still has his.
 
Like so many others on here that is just totally BA I can not for the life of me imagine why you would not just get it running as is. Make it safe and dependable, paint your shop logo on the side and drive the piss out of it. It is the epitome of a rescue rig for your customers. Show up pulling a trailer and drag their junk to your shop.
 
W100 1/2- Ton Power wagon Town Wagon. Total W100 production with inline six 352. That’s would make it hard to find another

With the NP trans & transfer case, not to mention the gearing, it will probably crawl up just about anything.
 
Last one I seen was in Pacific Grove. I left messages but never got a call back
